When I was 12 my family got our first PC. It was a 33Mhz 486 and it came with a whole bunch of DOS shareware games. The game Galactix was one of them. It was a game I overlooked at first; I was more interested in the side-scrolling shooters like Secret Agent and Crystal Caves. Later though, as I began to beat all of the other games I fell upon this one. It became one of my favorites as I struggled to get a high score that my siblings could never beat.

Years later I looked back on that game and could not remember its exact name making it difficult for me to find a download for it. But now I have found it on the DOS Games Archive. This is a pretty decent site with all sorts of downloads for old DOS games. Its a really good site for all of those vintage PC gaming enthusiasts, because I know there are so many of those out there.
